In-App Data Deletion
You can delete your data directly from the JobNext2U app without deleting your account:
1. Delete Posts
- Open the JobNext2U app
- Navigate to any of your posts
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right corner
- Select "Delete Post"
- Confirm deletion
- Your post and associated images will be permanently deleted
2. Delete Profile Picture
- Go to Profile Settings
- Tap on your profile picture
- Select "Remove Picture" or upload a new one
- Your old profile picture will be deleted
3. Edit or Remove Profile Information
- Go to Profile Settings
- Edit or clear your:
- Display Name
- Bio/About
- Phone Number
- Location
- Tap "Save"
- Changes are applied immediately
4. Delete Comments
- Navigate to any post where you've commented
- Find your comment
- Long-press on your comment or tap the menu
- Select "Delete Comment"
What Data Gets Deleted?
- ✅ Your job posts and associated images
- ✅ Your comments on posts
- ✅ Your likes and interactions
- ✅ Your profile picture
- ✅ Your profile information (bio, phone, etc.)
What Data Is Kept?
- 🔒 Your account credentials (for login access)
- 🔒 Account creation date
- 🔒 Basic account information (email)
These are kept so you can continue using your account.
⏱️ Data Retention Policy
- Deleted posts: Removed immediately from active database (cannot be recovered)
- Profile changes: Updated immediately
- Backup copies: Removed within 90 days (no recovery possible)
- Cached data: Cleared within 30 days
